港奧babies 在蘇州

It is already a long time since the last entry. December is really a very exciting month (though it should be peaceful time...). There are a lot of activities with children, we have some visits from Hong Kong, christmas holidays (i.e. no kindergarten for 3 weeks!). Now we are almost through....huh!

A very beautiful and peaceful garten here in Suzhou, just close to our home. sure it is not the same as the few hundred years old gartens, but here you can enjoy really the whole park on your own even on weekend. :)

Melanie is having bad mood...she can really cry for 30 minutes with full power...our visits from hong kong have experienced that (several times!) Luckily it doesn't happen anymore now...

Quite nice right? Thanks to Junnie and Mo, they helped us to build up this christmas tree and decorate that soooo nice!

other than decoration, they also joined us in baking cookies! Kind of like christmas fairies right?

A very cold day in Tiger Hill, we seldom go sight seeing as it is really not so easy with two toddlers, but with the christmas fairies we are a bit braver....even grandma joined!

So...this is more or less for this time and this year...we have gone a long long way and now in China. It is going so far fine, well, sure we will get used to the lifestyle here sometime later. It is time to count our blessings and be grateful.

Papa hat Heimweh! Er vermisst das deutsche Brot so sehr! Zum glueck gibt es eine deutsche Baeckerei in Shanghai, die jede Samstag in Suzhou Brot verkauft. Jedes mal kaufen wir fuer die ganze Woche. Das Brot schmeckt echt toll, aber die Bretzeln von Walter haben sie leider nicht...
爸爸想家呢！特別想德國麵包！幸好有一家德國麵包店，每週六都從上海送麵包到蘇州。我們每次都買整個星期的數量呢！

Alexander is going to kindergarten. He was so excited about going to kindergarten and finally last Tuesday he went for his first day. That was really nice and he enjoyed his school life a lot! We worried about him because he cannot speak and understand the two major languages there, which are English and Mandarin, but as we were told, he coped with it quite well. He sings even ABCs in english and can imitate the teaching assistant's words already!
尚哲上幼稚園了！他打從去參觀那天開始已經嚷著要上學去，終於上星期二過了他的第一天幼兒園生活。他很喜歡到幼稚園去呢！我們還很担心他不明白英文及普通話會很難適應。不過如其他人所說，小孩子真的很聰明，他適應得不錯。幾天時間，他已經會唱英文版的ABCs及模仿助教說普通話呢！

as we moved our home, unfortunately we have to move our blog as well.
our container from germany was delivered on saturday. and now we are living again with the 126 cartons! well, the unpacking goes quite fast. we have all the kitchen done, and most of the books are on shelves now (unorganized). the next thing will be the clothes. time flies, we have been here in suzhou since 8th october. there are a lot of things that we have to get used to. somehow it is the first time for us to live in china, everything is new. alexander and melanie seems to be having fun here. as they have a lot of space for them to run and now we don't have any neighbor who is noise-sensitive.
okay, stop here today and will write more next time...

alexander had his 3rd birthday here in suzhou with grandma together (they have the same birthday!) he got his birthday cake from bob the builder first thing in that morning!



there is a small playground in our compound and is the favourite place for alexander and melanie.
